This gallery showcases the work I have done on the Subway Station during the production of The Last of Us Part I.

As a Senior Environment Texture Artist, my responsibilities included the creation of materials and shaders as well as all the blend work and application of the shaders, uv'ing, and additional modeling work and set dressing.
I was also in charge of the integration and shader work of every asset outsourced to our partners.

For this area, I worked in close collaboration with Gabriel Cervantes, Modeler and Level Artist, and Ted Mebratu, Lighting Artist, to create this Subway station full of spores and Fungus. We then supported and shadowed Michael Thurston and Coraline Lyu, respectively Modeler and Texture Artist, to bring the level to the finish line.
Inspired by references and photos, we tried to remake this gameplay space created in the original game by conserving and improving some of the key elements such as the fungus growth, the old dock, and the collapsed tunnel leading to the flooded section.
Materials were fully made using Substance 3D Designer - And while these were made for this level, most of them were also put in the base library and can be found throughout the game.

Naughty Dog is a very collaborative studio and as such, various assets, textures and materials are sampled from a shared library. Many thanks to the various other artists on the team for their contribution!
